Spain in semifinals after win

Spain reached the semifinals for only the second time in history after another brilliant goal by former Valencia striker David Villa.

Paraguay as expected, played a an extremely defensive game that relied on counterattacking and Spain didn’t break the deadlock in the scoreboard until the 83rd minute with brilliant play by Iniesta, Pedro and Villa.

Villa is now the tournament’s top scorer, with 5 goals in as many games.

Barça haven’t signed Mata

The Valencia exodus will surely continue but news that FC Barcelona have signed Mata are not true. Marca reported the 20M transfer for the winger but both clubs have denied it so far.

David Villa already made the that move, but for 42M Euro and in England they say David Silva is set to make the move to the Premier League. So Valencia will at least have plenty of cash available to pay those debts.
